Resistance Band exercises
Resistance bands are cheap, light and portable, and they add tension that rises as the band stretches, which suits warm-ups, shoulder work and travel. Tension is harder to measure than plates, so tracking progress takes a little more care.
Tips
- Note the band colour and your hand or foot position in your log so you can repeat and progress it.
- Check bands for nicks and tears before use and anchor them securely; a snapping band can hurt.
- Control the return. Letting the band snap back wastes half of each rep.
